Mould / Damp contamination

Mould and Damp contamination is not only hazardous to the health of the occupiers of an infected property, but will also cause long term damage to the fabric and structure of the building. Spores from the fruiting outcrops of mycelium contamination can spread very quickly throughout a property when damp and humid conditions prevail within.

Tackling well established contamination of this nature within a property has in the past proven to require extensive and expensive renovation work. Involving the stripping out of all contaminated wood, plaster and brickwork as well as presenting the additional inconvenience and expense of non habitation during the restoration work.

Revival Environmental in support of major Pest Control companies has carried out several successful operations where infected buildings have been thermally wrapped and the Thermal Disinfection process applied. Raising the core temperature of the fabric of the building throughout, does not only remove the conditions suitable for the mould to exist but also kills the spores that enable it to regenerate as long as theĀ  condition of the building remains sound thereafter.

A recent operation of this nature was carried out within a 5 day programme resulting in minimum replacement of contaminated timbers, plasterwork etc. which also produced great savings in respect of expense, inconvenience and downtime.
