With global travel becoming more readily available to a larger proportion of the worlds population, and with the worlds atmosphere becoming increasingly warmer, it is no surprise that the worlds most amiable hitchhiker (The Bedbug) is turning up in ever increasing numbers.
All modes of transport from Aircraft to Ferries, Passenger Liners, Trains, Buses are reported to have ongoing problems with Bedbugs, every traveller is at risk with Hotels and Hostelries also reported as being major harbouring sites.
Couple this with the fact that the products and processes traditionally used by Pest Control companies to tackle these problems are continually being depleted due to environmental issues and legislation. This in turn is now greatly reducing their capability to control future outbreaks and infestations.
it is obvious that the Bedbug is gaining ground on our very own habitat, so much so that some Inner City Borough Councils in the South of England have reported that certain strains of the insect are now proving to be immune to the current range of control products.
Although in general the bite of a Bedbug is not particularly harmful to Humans, it can cause unsightly blemishes and inconvenient irritations that in rare cases may result in skin or blood infections. Never the less sharing your bed with an unwelcome blood sucking stranger is abhorrent to all.
Working with Rentokil, Revival Environmental have successfully completed many operations where the application of The Entotherm Process to infested areas, has not only killed the adult bugs, but also destroyed the eggs which is crucial to breaking the re-infestation cycle.
