The Revival Group exhibited at the annual BIBA (British Insurance Brokers Association) in Manchester, #BIBA2012. The exhibition had over 2,600 brokers registered to attend and provided an ideal opportunity to launch the #REACT product.

Richard Done, General Manager commented, “There has been so much genuine interest and enthusiasm for #REACT at BIBA from Brokers, Insurers and other interested parties. We are already working with Brokers who understand the importance of client retention.”

The Revival Group owned Commercial disaster recovery company AREPA UK has been shortlisted in the ‘Excellence in Business Continuity in the Insurance Industry’ category of the CIR Business Continuity Awards 2012.

Located on Monument Business Park in Chalgrove, AREPA UK provides the most technically advanced, fastest and most efficient disaster restoration service, in the commercial arena, supporting individuals andbusinesses, in the UK and across the World. Most of their work is carried out as part of an insurance claim and they are sole providersof disaster recovery services to many of World’s leading insurance companies.

The award entry focused on REACT, an emergency contingency programme aimed at insurancebrokers. The response and actions during the initial stages of an insuranceclaim, due to fire or flood, may be critical in the process of minimising business interruption and secondary damage. Implementing REACT can mean the difference between effective operational recovery and further damage, leading to loss of equipment, resources and more importantly customers.

AREPA UK General Manager, Richard Done said:
“This nomination is testament to the hard work put in by the whole team in the development of a product that has a real bearing on those that are unfortunate enough to suffer a disaster. It’s designed to make a difference from the moment the event occurs, through to the settlement of the claim.
The insurance brokers that have already signed up to REACT and write it into their renewals have seen the benefits first hand, in both speed of service and customer satisfaction. With BIBA 2012 fast approaching where we will exhibiting it’s a chance for brokers to engage with a market specific product that not only helps them with customer satisfaction and retention, but gives insurers peace of mind that the claims value can be greatly reduced.”

AREPA UK General Manager Richard Done has won recognition from POST magazine as one of the top 10 individual users of Twitter within the UK insurance market.

POST is the leading insurance publication in the UK and voice of the industry. Known as late-adopters, the insurance market had been slow to embrace the world of social media until the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) conference earlier this year. The use of the hashtag #biba2011 by attendees sparked unprecedented interest in the conference. Delegates tweeted (the name given to the 140 maximum character posts) in real time giving a true flavour of the conference and encouraging debate both on and off-line.

Mr Done has already forged strong relationships with insurance brokers and other key figures as a direct result of tweeting: “Whatever industry you’re working in you have to embrace social media, it’s just too powerful to ignore. I’m still getting to grips with understanding how best to leverage the time I spend on social media. As such, I consider myself very much a novice and feel I still have so much to learn, so to be recognised as one of the top users in the insurance industry is quite staggering!”, explained Mr Done.

AREPA UK provides technical restoration services to the commercial market in the UK, across Europe and beyond. AREPA UK is owned by Oxon-based The Revival Company, a domestic fire and flood restoration company.

Recent bad weather has led to record instruction levels for Oxfordshire based company specialising in fire and flood restoration.

The Revival Company has announced a huge increase in turnover as a result of floods caused mainly from burst pipes.

Technical Manager Simon Walker explained:

“Our current level of instructions – received mainly from insurers – for the period November ’10 to January ’11 is 65% more than the same period in 2010. This is due in part to the coldest December on record leading to a massive increase in burst pipes and the subsequent damage caused by flooding.”

Director of Operations, Jim Herrington, added:

“Whilst the increase in business is very good for us, we recognise that this can be a very traumatic time for our customers. For this reason, we have as a company always placed great importance on training our staff how to deal sensitively with these sorts of situations.

The Revival Company – one of the UK’s leading fire and flood restoration businesses – operates around the world in both domestic and commercial markets.
